corporate capitalism is the foundation of police brutality and the prison state...,

alternet |  Our national conversation on race and crime is based on a fiction. It is the fiction that the organs of internal security, especially the judiciary and the police, can be adjusted, modernized or professionalized to make possible a post-racial America. We discuss issues of race while ignoring the economic, bureaucratic and political systems of exploitation—all of it legal and built into the ruling apparatus—that are the true engines of racism and white supremacy. No discussion of race is possible without a discussion of capitalism and class. And until that discussion takes place, despite all the proposed reforms to the criminal justice system, the state will continue to murder and imprison poor people of color with impunity.

More training, body cameras, community policing, the hiring of more minorities as police officers, a better probation service and more equitable fines will not blunt the indiscriminate use of lethal force or reduce the mass incarceration that destroys the lives of the poor. Our capitalist system callously discards surplus labor, especially poor people of color, employing lethal force and the largest prison system in the world to keep them under control. This is by design. And until this predatory system of capitalism is destroyed, the poor, especially people of color, will continue to be gunned down by police in the streets, as they have for decades, and disproportionately locked in prison cages.

Have you read the excerpt yet from Coates Letter to My Son? There is nothing uniquely evil in these destroyers or even in this
moment. The destroyers are merely men enforcing the whims of our
country, correctly interpreting its heritage and legacy. This legacy
aspires to the shackling of black bodies. It is hard to face this. But
all our phrasing—race relations, racial chasm, racial justice, racial
profiling, white privilege, even white supremacy—serves to obscure that
racism is a visceral experience, that it dislodges brains, blocks
airways, rips muscle, extracts organs, cracks bones, breaks teeth. You
must never look away from this. You must always remember that the
sociology, the history, the economics, the graphs, the charts, the
regressions all land, with great violence, upon the body. And should one
live in such a body? What should be our aim beyond meager survival of
constant, generational, ongoing battery and assault? I have asked this
question all my life. I have sought the answer through my reading and
writings, through the music of my youth, through arguments with your
grandfather, with your mother. I have searched for answers in
nationalist myth, in classrooms, out on the streets, and on other
continents. The question is unanswerable, which is not to say futile.
The greatest reward of this constant interrogation, of confrontation
with the brutality of my country, is that it has freed me from ghosts
and myths. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/07/tanehisi-coates-between-the-world-and-me/397619/

...C'mon, CNu, do you really think you couild get a Better_Deal in Africa...??
At least America has a serious well-paid market for Athlete75z and Entertainerz...

lol, silly racetard, aside from the fact that it's your daily race pr0n, a subject with which you obsessively self-stimulate and exhibitionistically share hereabouts, what exactly does any of that hot ghetto mess have to do with me?

If I were you old raisin, I'd be MUCH more concerned about your unsustainable withdrawals from the "safety net" coming to an abrupt end - because the powers that be have determined you have no profitable use. Time to wake up and smell what the "Aggregates of Power" have in store for those stuck in the N-1 fantasy of "believing themselves white".

If the Greek disavowal of its elderly didn't open your eyes, then think back to the living memory history of WW-II when 15% of the able-bodied of your tribe were sacrificed on an industrial scale simply to jumpstart the capitalist economies of the "believing itself white" world.

Umm..., this post as well as others this morning constitute an extended riff off of a more summary answer to a post made by Mr. Kurman http://johnkurman.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-people-of-rail-wire-and-gun-vs.html?showComment=1436359827220#c318131014015867374

Now, now, CNu, you sould be glad BD's tribe made that WW2 sacrifice. Otherwise, your tribe would be at least attempting to speak German or Japanese. Which might be kind of tough considering that after 400 years, 90 percent of your tribe can't even speak proper mainstream English. See the Oakland Ebonics Resolution---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oakland_Ebonics_resolution

lol, i'll have to defer to your English language struggles expertise having demonstrated your own disabilities just now. Your tribe didn't "make" a sacrifice, substantial elements of that herd "were" sacrificed in the interest of continuing profitability. Thankfully, the aggregates of power now realize the error of those methods, and will instead just excise the costly and unprofitable elderly first.

Your terminal lack of FTO is showing, CNu. Overwhelmed with NormalcyBias, you must think you will never get old. That is a serious lack of Vision. Maybe 64130 knows something?

If you haven't figured this out yet, successfully getting old is a Status Symbol. At the last reunion census, over half of BD's high school class was deceased. We don't compare net worths anymore, what counts is 'How's your Health?'

CNu experiences a daily reminder of his mortality. The boy is 6'3 210lbs - pretty much a perfect physiognomic analog of the young Cassius Clay. Thankfully, the old man has spent the last 8 months religiously studying in the weight room, not with the goal of "staying fit", but with the goal of re-engineering the entire physique so as to retain alpha status by dent of brute strength.

The situation in Greece is a clear indication of the status objectively accorded the elderly by the Aggregate of Power in the developed world at this moment in time. (neither of us suffers any illusions concerning the objective valuation of life either young or old by the Aggregate of Power outside the developed world)

Your terminal lack of FTO is showing, CNu.

While you may expire before TSHTF - I fully expect not only to survive, but to thrive in the revised context of naked dominance hierarchy. But hey, if there's even a fractional release of the trapped but seeping arctic methane, all bets are off...,

Dawnie... you should be very careful about the information you let slip out. This here picture narrows down to 33 my search for "Don"'s or "Donald"'s in the Seattle area.

BD wondered who would get suckered in with that photo. We found it on Google Images searching for "Geezers". It's a bunch of them from some group over in UK (London).
http://participantsunited.ageofwe.org/the-geezers/ So how much of your Time75 did you squander speculating which one was BD...?? ROTFLMAO....!!
